Introduction

Thank you for choosing the YAT Electric Chainsaw. This user manual will guide you through the safe and proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new chainsaw. Please read this manual carefully before using the chainsaw to ensure your safety and the optimal performance of the tool.

Safety Precautions* Always wear appropriate safety gear. This includes eye protection, ear protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
* Inspect the chainsaw before each use. Check for loose parts, damaged cords, and other potential hazards.
* Keep children and pets away from the chainsaw.
* Never operate the chainsaw under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
* Be aware of your surroundings. Clear the work area from obstacles and potential hazards, such as trees, branches, and power lines.
* Use a sharp chain. A dull chain can increase the risk of kickback and injury.
* Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands. Keep your thumbs and fingers wrapped around the handles, not in line with the saw chain.
* Do not overextend yourself. Cut only within your reach.
* Avoid cutting into the ground. This can damage the chain and create sparks.
* Be prepared for kickback. Kickback occurs when the chain contacts an object and the chainsaw is pushed back towards the operator. Anticipate kickback and keep a firm grip on the chainsaw.
* Never cut above shoulder height. This can increase the risk of injury.
