Electronic quartz watches are very popular because they are accurate and relatively inexpensive. They are also very easy to use, but there are a few things you need to know in order to set the time correctly.Materials You'll Need
* Electronic quartz watch
* Phillips head screwdriver (optional)
Instructions
1. Locate the crown. The crown is the small knob on the side of the watch case. It is usually located at the 3 o'clock position, but it can also be located at the 2 o'clock or 4 o'clock position.
2. Pull out the crown. Gently pull the crown out to the first position. This will stop the second hand and allow you to set the time.
3. Turn the crown to set the hour. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the hour hand. Turn the crown counterclockwise to retard the hour hand.
4. Pull out the crown to the second position. This will allow you to set the minute hand.
5. Turn the crown to set the minute. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the minute hand. Turn the crown counterclockwise to retard the minute hand.
6. Push the crown back in to the first position. This will start the second hand again.
7. Check the time. Make sure that the time is correct. If it is not, repeat steps 2-6.
8. Push the crown back in to the second position. This will lock the crown in place.
Tips
* If the crown is difficult to pull out, you can use a Phillips head screwdriver to gently pry it out.
* Be careful not to turn the crown too far. If you do, you could damage the watch.
