Gauge:* 10 sc = 2 inches

Instructions:Main Color Hat
1. Ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring.
2. Rnd 1: Ch 1, 12 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc.
3. Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. (24 sc)
4. Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc, inc) repeat around. Join with sl st to first sc. (36 sc)

Earflaps
1. Ch 30.
2. Rnd 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Join with sl st to first sc. (29 sc)

4. Repeat Rnd 2 until earflap measures 10 inches long.
5. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Contrast Color Brim
1. Attach contrasting yarn to the edge of the hat, even with the bottom of the first earflap.
2. Ch 1, sc in each sc around the hat and both earflaps. Join with sl st to first sc. (92 sc)
3. Rnd 2: Ch 1, *sc, inc* repeat around. Join with sl st to first sc. (138 sc)

Assembly
