In this episode, we're going to crochet a pair of adorable baby ear muffs to keep your little one's ears warm this winter. These ear muffs are made with soft, chunky yarn and are perfect for babies of all ages. They're also a great way to use up leftover yarn from other projects.

Materials
1 skein of chunky yarn
Crochet hook size L/11 (8 mm)
Scissors

Abbreviations
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
sl st - slip stitch

Instructions

Round 1: Ch 2, dc 6 into the second ch from the hook. Sl st to join. (6 dc)

Round 2: Ch 2, dc 2 in each dc around. Sl st to join. (12 dc)

Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in next dc, hdc in next dc* around. Sl st to join. (18 sts)

Round 4: Ch 2, *hdc in next hdc, dc in next dc* around. Sl st to join. (18 sts)

Round 5: Ch 2, sc in each st around. Sl st to join. (18 sc)

Round 6: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Sl st to join. (18 sc)

Round 7-12: Repeat Round 6.

Round 13: Ch 2, sc in each st around. Sl st to join. (18 sc)

Round 14-17: Repeat Round 13.

Round 18: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Sl st to join and fasten off.

Finishing: Fold the ear muffs in half and sew the edges together with a yarn needle. Leave a small opening at the top for the ear.

Tips
If you want to make the ear muffs larger, add more rounds to the pattern.
If you want to make the ear muffs smaller, use a smaller crochet hook.
You can use any type of yarn for this pattern, but I recommend using a soft, chunky yarn for warmth and comfort.
