Joining the Panels

Place the scarf panel between the two earmuff panels, with the earmuffs facing outward.
Use a 3-needle bind-off to join the earmuffs to the scarf panel.
To 3-needle bind-off:
* Use a tapestry needle or spare set of needles.
* Insert a needle into the first stitch on the left needle and the first stitch on the right needle.
* Knit the two stitches together.
* Slip the knitted stitch back onto the left needle.
* Repeat with the next two stitches.
* Continue in this manner until all stitches have been bound off.

Finishing

Weave in any loose ends.
Fold the scarf in half, with the earmuffs on the inside.
Sew up the open ends of the earmuffs to secure them.

Notes
* The gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will affect the size of the finished product.
* You can adjust the length of the scarf or the width of the earmuffs as desired.
* For a more decorative look, you can use a variegated or self-striping yarn.
