Getting Started

To get started, you will need:
The Omron blood pressure monitor
4 AA batteries
A user manual

To insert the batteries, open the battery compartment on the back of the monitor. Insert the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment.

To use the monitor, sit in a comfortable position with your back supported. Place your feet flat on the floor and keep your arms relaxed at your sides. Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, about 1-2 inches (2-3 cm) above your elbow. The arrow on the cuff should be aligned with the center of your arm. Close the cuff by pulling the hook and loop closure. Press the start button to begin the measurement. The monitor will automatically inflate the cuff and measure your blood pressure. When the measurement is complete, the monitor will display your blood pressure reading on the screen.

Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble using the monitor, please refer to the following troubleshooting tips:
Make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly.
Make sure that the cuff is wrapped snugly around your arm.
Make sure that you are sitting in a comfortable position with your back supported.
Make sure that your feet are flat on the floor and your arms are relaxed at your sides.
