How to Coil a CP2 Atomizer304

The authentic CP2 RDA is a popular atomizer among intermediate to advanced vapers with its 22-millimeter diameter and 2-milliliter liquid capacity. CP2 is an abbreviation for Ceramic Plate 2.0, which refers to the innovative ceramic plates in its build deck. These plates feature a central hole for coil legs and peripheral holes to pass cotton and wick the e-liquid from the juice well to the coils.

Learning how to properly build a coil on the CP2 RDA is crucial for optimal vaping performance. It ensures proper heating of the coil, even distribution of heat, and efficient wicking of the e-liquid. Follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to coil the CP2 atomizer and elevate your vaping experience:

Materials you'll need:- CP2 RDA
- Coiling rod or screwdriver
- Kanthal or Nichrome wire (26-gauge recommended)
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
- Cotton bacon or other wicking material

Step 1: Prepare the coil legs- Cut two pieces of Kanthal or Nichrome wire, each approximately 6 inches in length.
- Using wire cutters, remove the insulation from both ends of each wire.
- Bend each wire at a 90-degree angle about a quarter-inch from the end, creating the coil legs.

Step 2: Wrap the coils- Insert the coil legs into the central hole of the ceramic plate.
- Wrap the wire around the coiling rod or screwdriver, rotating the rod clockwise while maintaining tension on the wire.
- Continue wrapping until you have 5-7 coils on each wire.
- Slide the coils off the coiling rod and trim any excess wire.

Step 3: Position the coils- Place the coils inside the CP2 RDA build deck.
- Use tweezers or pliers to adjust the positioning of the coils so that they are evenly spaced and centred over the airflow holes.

Step 4: Secure the coils- Tighten the screws on the ceramic plate to secure the coil legs.
- Make sure that the coils are making good contact with the ceramic plate and are not loose.

Step 5: Wick the coils- Take a piece of cotton bacon or wicking material and cut it to a length that is about twice the height of the coils.
- Thin out the ends of the cotton bacon and gently feed it through the peripheral holes in the ceramic plate.
- Make sure that the cotton is making contact with the bottom of the coils and is not too tightly packed.

Step 6: Trim the excess cotton- Use scissors to trim any excess cotton that is sticking out from the bottom of the ceramic plate.
- Ensure that the cotton is not blocking the airflow holes or touching the base of the RDA.

Step 7: Dry burn and test the coils- Pulse the coils at a low wattage (around 10-15 watts) without any e-liquid to remove any hotspots or impurities.
- Observe the coils and adjust their position if necessary to ensure that they are heating evenly.
- Once the coils are glowing evenly, increase the wattage gradually and test the flavour and vapour production.

Step 8: Prime the coils- Apply a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the coils and cotton bacon.
- Allow the e-liquid to soak into the cotton for a few minutes before vaping.

Congratulations! You have successfully built a coil on the CP2 RDA. Enjoy a satisfying and flavourful vaping experience.
