User Manual for JianKang Blood Pressure Monitor45

Introduction
The JianKang Blood Pressure Monitor is a fully automatic, portable device designed to measure and monitor blood pressure. It is easy to use and provides accurate readings in the comfort of your own home. This user manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your blood pressure monitor.

Setup
1. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the monitor.
2. Connect the cuff to the monitor by inserting the air tube into the port on the side of the monitor.
3. Ensure that the cuff is clean and dry before use.

Operation
1. Sit in a comfortable position with your arm resting on a flat surface.
2. Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, ensuring that the arrow on the cuff aligns with the brachial artery (the major artery in your upper arm).
3. Press the start button to initiate the measurement.
4. The monitor will automatically inflate the cuff and measure your blood pressure.
5. The results will be displayed on the screen when the measurement is complete.

Interpreting the Results
The blood pressure measurement consists of two numbers:
- Systolic pressure: The higher number indicates the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
- Diastolic pressure: The lower number indicates the pressure in your arteries when your heart rests.

The ideal blood pressure range is less than 120/80 mmHg. Readings between 120/80 mmHg and 129/89 mmHg are considered prehypertension. Readings above 130/90 mmHg are considered hypertension and require medical attention.

Maintenance
- Clean the cuff regularly with a damp cloth. Do not wash the cuff in water.
- Store the monitor in a clean and dry place when not in use.
- Replace the batteries when the battery indicator on the screen appears.

Troubleshooting
- If the monitor does not turn on, check the batteries.
- If the cuff does not inflate, ensure that it is properly connected to the monitor.
- If the readings are inaccurate, consult your healthcare provider.

Safety Precautions
- Do not use the monitor on a pregnant woman or a child under 12 years of age.
- Do not use the monitor if you have a pacemaker or another implanted medical device.
- Do not use the monitor while sleeping.
- Consult your healthcare provider before using the monitor if you have any underlying health conditions.
